# General Scope

## Overview

The context in which a **UI Page** can be used is determined by the Scope. The **General** scope makes a **UI Page** available without associating it with a specific entity type, menu entry, or workspace.

This scope is typically used for pages that are:

* Cross-functional;
* Informational or monitoring-oriented;
* Accessed via links or external navigation paths.

The **General** scope does not support pinning **UI Pages** to Quick Access.
