--- alias: experiment-page description: "This page displays experiment details and configurations across various interactive view modes" --- # Experiment Page :lock: Experiment.**Show** The **Experiment** page displays all the operations that can be performed within a specific **Experiment**. Additionally, it enables you to check the details of the **Experiment** in different tabs, as described below. ## Details In the **Details** sub-section, it is possible to see the Experiment's general data such as the concerning **Experiment Definition**, and all the settings that have been configured at the creation level. If the **Experiment** is already terminated, you can also see its results and conclusions (if they have already been edited). After the main **Material** is changed, a history icon with the hover text `Main Material History` appears next to the **Material** field. Select :core-static-widgetentityhistory-lg: to open the main **Material** assignment history. ![Experiment Change Material History Option](../images/experiment_change_material_history_option.png) ## Main Material History The modal displays the main **Material** assignment history in reverse chronological order. The grid includes `New Material`, `Old Material`, `Modified By`, and `Modified On`. ![Experiment Change Material History Option](../images/experiment_change_material_history_modal.png) To replace the current main **Material**, use [[user-guide-change-experiment-material]]. ## Sub-Materials The **Sub-Materials** sub-section presents the list of sub-materials, containers and main material groups used in the **Experiment**: ![Screenshot showing a list of sub-materials on an experiment page.](../images/experiment_page.png) To visualize additional information on the **Experiment**, select the **Matrix** Tab on the top ribbon. ## Matrix The **Matrix** Tab allows you to see all the material groups, sub-materials and sub-materials' numbers, steps, and actions in a grid layout. The pane on the right-hand side of the screen will enable you to see further information on each of these sections: **Experiment Definition**, **Step**, **Material Group**, **Action**, **Sub-Material**. ![Screenshot showing a matrix with numbers 7, 2, 5, and 8 in a grid layout.](../images/experiment_matrix_filters.png) By clicking on each sub-material number, it is possible to see its specific details such as main material, product, quantity, container and associated facility, flow and step. Hovering over the specific sub-material will also display contextual information on it. ![Screenshot showing an Experiment Matrix with various details and statistics.](../images/experiment_matrix_details_full.png) It is also possible to filter out *Steps*, *Material Groups* and *Actions*. Each option will default to "All" and will display all the *Steps*, *Material Groups* and *Actions* related to the specific **Experiment**. However, all the items are subject to being filtered, thus displaying only the information that you wish to see.
