# Take Periodic Inventory Ownership

## Overview

This operation is used to take ownership (responsibility) for a **Periodic Inventory**.

## Setup

No special setup is required other than to meet the preconditions.

## Preconditions

* The **Periodic Inventory** must be Active.
* The **Periodic Inventory** system state must be Open.

## Sequence of Steps

### Step 1

1. Review the **Periodic Inventory** item information.
2. Select **Take Ownership** to complete the operation.
