# Special Cancel Task

## Overview

This operation is used to cancel any **Task** even if the current user is not the Requester.

## Setup

No special setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* The **Task** must be Active.

## Sequence of Steps

1. From the **Cancel** dropdown in the action bar, select **Special Cancel**.

2. Review the **Task** information.
3. Select the **Cancel Task** button to complete the operation.
