# Supported Sources

**AI** uses the content available in the current context. The exact set of sources depends on where you start the action.

## Selected Documents and Attachments

The most common sources are:

* The current entity context.
* The selected documents.
* The selected attachments.

When you use **Ask AI** or **View Summary**, the system sends the relevant identifiers and instructions to the configured large language model (LLM).

## Attachment Type Filtering

Not every attachment is available to **AI** automatically.

To make an attachment type available:

1. Go to **Administration > Tables > Generic Tables**.
2. Open the [[attachmenttype-gt]] Generic Table.
3. Enable **Enable Generative AI** for the required Entity Type and Attachment Type combination.

## Context-Specific Extensions

Some scenarios may extend the default set of sources with additional entity-related content.

For example, a scenario may combine:

* The current entity documents.
* The current entity attachments.
* Additional related-entity attachments.
