# Cortex

## Overview

Cortex provides a guided interface for business workflows. Select the options displayed at each step, or enter a name or another response when the scenario requests it. The selected scenario defines the available options and required text responses.

## Availability

Cortex is accessible from the **Automation** main menu, the **Activity Center** icon, or the `Alt + O + X` shortcut from any page. Select an available **Automation Business Scenario** to start a workflow.

## Use Cortex

To interact with a business workflow:

1. Access Cortex through **Automation**, an **Automation Business Scenario**, or the `Alt + O + X` shortcut.
2. Select an available scenario.
3. Select the displayed options and provide any responses requested by the scenario to continue through the workflow.

The available options depend on the selected scenario. For information about configuring scenarios, see [[user-guide-automation-business-scenarios]].

To start again, select one of the following controls:

* **Restart** - returns to scenario selection and keeps the conversation history.
* **Clean** - returns to scenario selection and clears the conversation history.
