Augmented Reality#
Augmented reality consists of the provision of computer information superimposed over the image captured by the camera of a device. Thus, the real-world can be augmented with useful task relevant and up-to-date information. For example, a maintenance technician will be capable of pointing his mobile phone or tablet to an equipment and check the list of pending and upcoming maintenance orders; or a quality engineer can use his device to check the history of a certain lot.
