Creating a Batch from the Resource View#

As previously mentioned, it is possible to create a Batch from the its entity page. However, it is highly advisable to create it from the Resource View. This approach provides a clearer view of all available Materials and their attributes, making the selection process more efficient. Before proceeding, ensure that Step 1 (Configuring a Batch Resource) and Step 2 (Defining Resource Capacity) from the Creating a Batch from the Batch Entity have been completed.

Create a Batch#

After Configuring a Batch Resource and Defining a Batch Resource, you are set to Create a Batch from the Resource View.

When the Resource has the Scheduling Type of Batch, the left panel displays four options: Dispatch List, Planned Batches, Batch at Resource, and Processed Material. TThese options allow an effective Batch management.

For this example, select three Materials (Cookie C1, Cookie D1, and Cookie A6) and select the Create Batch button on the top ribbon, as shown below.

The Create Batch wizard appears, with the Resource and Step already pre-filled. Optionally, you can add a Name, a Description and a Priority.

After selecting Next, the wizard will display all pre-selected Batch Materials. Confirm the selection meets your specific requirements.

Selecting Next again allows adding Containers, similar to the process outlined in Creating a Batch from the Batch Entity. Once the necessary details are provided, select Create to complete the operation.

Once the Batch is created, it can be managed directly from the Resource View. For more information, see Managing Batch from the Resource View.
