--- alias: tutorials-managing-batch-resource-view title: Managing Batch from the Resource View glightbox: false description: "Manage batch workflows efficiently through the resource view interface for streamlined operations" --- # Managing Batch from the Resource View All Batch management use cases covered in [[tutorials-managing-batch-entity-page]] can also be performed from the Resource View. This section demonstrates how these operations can be executed efficiently within this interface. As previously mentioned, the Resource View provides four options in the left panel: Dispatch List, Planned Batches, Batch at Resource, and Processed Materials. If you need to check which **Materials** are assigned to a Batch, enable the **Assigned to Batch** toggle button at the top-left corner of the **Dispatch List**. Filters such as **Product**, **Flow**, **Step**, and **Material Name** can also be used for more refined searches. ## Release Batch The **Planned Batches** option is where Batch management begins. Selecting a **Batch**, such as `Batch-0002`, will display multiple action buttons, including: [[user-guide-change-batch-resource]], [[user-guide-cancel-batch]], [[user-guide-release-batch]], [[user-guide-edit-batch]], and [[user-guide-manage-batch-materials]]. ```mermaid graph TD A1[Created] --> |Release

Following the standard Batch management workflow, begin by selecting **Release Batch** from the top ribbon. This opens the **Release Batch** wizard, where you can verify all the Batch details. Once confirmed, select **Release Batch** to proceed. Using this view, you can easily see that the system state of the **Batch** changes to Queued, with **Materials** transitioning to a Loaded state. At this point, options such as [[user-guide-cancel-batch]], [[user-guide-unrelease-batch]], and [[user-guide-track-in-batch]] become available, as shown in the image below. ```mermaid graph TD A1[Created] --> |Release
Batch| A2[Queued] A1 --> |Cancel
Batch| C1[Canceled] A2 --> |Unrelease
Batch| A1 A2 --> |Track-In

This action launches the **Track-In Batch** wizard, displaying all the Batch Material details. Select the **Next** button to proceed, and you will see the Resource Details and change the Resource State if needed. Select **Track-In** to complete the operation. The **Batch** will now move from Planned Batches to Batch at Resource, reflecting its status change from Queued to In Process. In the **Batch at Resource** view, further actions such as [[user-guide-track-out-batch]] or [[user-guide-abort-batch]] can be performed using the available buttons on the top ribbon. ```mermaid graph TD A1[Created] --> |Release
Batch| A2[Queued] A1 --> |Cancel

For more information, see [[user-guide-abort-batch]]. ## Track-Out Following the Track-In operation, proceed to Track-Out. Select the **Track-Out** button on the top ribbon to launch the **Track-Out Batch** wizard, which displays Batch Materials. Selecting **Next** will again present the Resource Details screen, where the Resource State can be modified if needed. Select **Track-Out** to complete the operation. Once the Track-Out is completed, the **Batch** transitions from In Process to Closed, and its **Materials** move to the **Processed Materials** section of the Resource View. From here, the **Move-Next** button on the top ribbon can be used to transition Materials to the next Step of the current Flow. ```mermaid graph TD A1[Created] --> |Release
