Manage Change Package Items#
After the Change Package is created, there are no Change Package Items associated with it. You can populate the Change Package by selecting Add Single or Add Multiple from the action bar in the Contents tab.
When you add a Change Package Item, the system also includes related items that are required to transport the selected entity, such as automatically included references or related table rows.
For more information, see Change Package Item.
Content Selection Restrictions
The following rules apply when adding Change Package Items to a Change Package:
- An Entity item can only be added if the Is Exportable flag is enabled in the Entity Type configuration.
ExportAutoIncludeautomatically selects related top-level objects when you add an entity object. You can clear these objects in the dependency tree before adding them to the Change Package.- The system includes Smart Table rows where the selected entity is referenced as a key or value, and Generic Table rows where it is referenced in any column.
- Entity items must be top-level objects. They cannot be instances or parts of another object.
- Non-versioned objects must be Active.
- Versioned objects must be Effective.
- Items whose Owner Instance identifies another Customer Environment cannot be added.
- An item can appear through multiple dependency branches, but it appears only once in the grid view.
