Abort Batch#

Overview#

This operation is used to Abort a given Batch.

Setup#

No specific setup is required other than to meet the precondition of the transaction.

Preconditions#

  • The Batch exists in the system and is Active.
  • The Batch System State is In Process.
  • The Batch must be in Loaded state.

Sequence of Steps#

  1. Choose a Batch, then select the Abort button on the top ribbon.
  2. A wizard will appear with the list of the Batch Items, as shown below.

  3. Optionally, enter a comment for the operation.

  4. Select Next.
  5. A wizard displaying Resource Details will appear, as shown below. Here, you can select the Resource State from the following options: Productive, Standby, or Engineering.

  6. Optionally, enter a comment for the operation.

  7. Select Abort.

Once a Batch is aborted, the Batch State and the Resource Job State are set to Queued.
