A template can also be created using a similar procedure and there is also the possibility of using a template to create the new object as well. This selection can be done in the main entity menu. ## Setup No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction. ## Preconditions * The **Calendar** does not currently exist in the system. ## Sequence of Steps ### Step 1: General Data 1. Provide a name for the **Calendar**. 2. Optionally, provide a description of the **Calendar**. ### Step 2: Information 1. Select the time zone that should be used for the **Calendar**. * For the data warehouse aggregation procedures, **Material** and **Resource** facts are aggregated according to the respective **Area** **Calendar**. * For maintenance management, the following precedence is implemented to determine time zone to be used: * Time zone of **Calendar** of object (e.g.: **Resource** **Area**, **Area**). * Time zone of default **Facility** **Calendar** (e.g.: **Container**, **Material**). * Time zone of default **Facility** of **Calendar** defined as Enterprise wide reporting dimension. * Time zone of Application Server. 2. Specify whether the **Calendar** has a fixed time (in minutes) that allows performing Clock-In operations earlier than the Day Start time. 3. Specify whether the **Calendar** being created is a Enterprise Wide Report Dimension or not. 4. Specify the starting day of the week for the fiscal week. 5. Select the day of the year when the fiscal year starts. 6. Select the time when the fiscal day starts. !!! note The fiscal day can start on a previous day. 1.
