Grant Certification to Employees#
Certification.Grant
Overview#
This operation grants a specific Certification to one or more Employees, causing the Employees to possess the Certification.
Preconditions#
- One of these three statements must be
true:- The user must belong to the Owner Role of the Certification.
- The user is Manager of the user to whom the Certification is being granted and the Certification has the property Is Manager Grant Allowed set to
true. - The user is the Employee to whom the Certification is being granted and the Certification has the property Is Self Grant Allowed set to
true.
- The Certification must have the property Allow Manual Grants set to
true. - User Certification state must be Assigned, In Progress or Expired.
Sequence of Steps#
To grant a Certification to one or more Employees, select the Employees that should be granted the Certification and select the Grant button in the Employees section of the page.
Step 1: Details#
- Confirm the Employees to which the Certification should be granted.
- The date of the Certification will be set to current date and time but it can be edited.
- Set if the Employee is a Trainer or Trainee.
- The validity date is determined by the Certification validation date. However, if the Employee is set as Trainee the validation date is determined by:
Certification Date + Training Maximum Duration. - Optionally enter a remark for the grant.
- Select Grant to complete the operation.
Info
If the Certification has the property Notify list on changes set to true, an email will be sent to the defined Distribution list.
Warning
If a Validity Period is defined, it must be greater than the Certification Date.
