# Take Change Set Ownership

## Overview

This operation is used to take ownership of a **Change Set**.

## Setup

No special setup is required, other than to meet the transaction's preconditions.

## Preconditions

* **Change Set** exists and it's in the "Active".
* The user has an active **Employee** object associated with it.

## Sequence of Steps

### Step 1 - General Data

1. Select an appropriate **Change Set**.
2. Press the *Take Ownership* button on the top ribbon.
3. The information on the **Change Set** items will be displayed on the wizard.
4. By clicking **Take Ownership**, the **Change Set** owner will be changed to the **Employee** that performs the operation.
