# Manage Chart Rules

## Overview

This operation is used to manage the **Rules** for an existing **Chart**.  

## Setup

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* The **Chart** exists in the system.

## Sequence of Steps

To access the Manage Chart Rules wizard, in the **Chart** page, select the Rules section.

In the Rules section, select Manage to open the wizard.

1. On the left panel, add as many rows as you need (each row represents a new Rule to be added to the currently selected **Chart**). Select :material-plus: or :material-trash-can: as needed.
2. Select the Scope for the Rule to be added.
3. Select the Rule to be added to the **Chart**. A description will automatically appear depending on the chosen Rule.
4. Select the Protocol to be opened in case the rule is triggered.
5. Select another Rule to be run in case the original rule is triggered.
6. Optionally, enter a comment.
7. Select **Update** to complete the transaction.
