Overview#

This operation is used to Edit a Checklist.

Setup#

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

Preconditions#

  • The Checklist must exist in the system and be in either a Created or Active state.
  • When updating the Execution Mode from Long Running to Immediate, there cannot exist any version of the Checklist with the Track Execution Time property set to true.
  • When updating the Scope or Execution Mode:
    • No version of the Checklist may reference a BOM.
    • No version of the Checklist may have a Material Deviation Protocol defined.
    • No version of the Checklist may reference a Data Collection, unless the Checklist scope is Material Tracking and remains unchanged.
  • When updating the Execution Mode and the Scope is Material Tracking:
    • Updates are not possible from Immediate to Long-Running if there is an Operation column value in the MaterialChecklistContext Smart Table different from TrackIn, PerformSetup or PerformSetupNoChangeover. However, updates are possible if there is no reference to an Operation.

Sequence of Steps#

The Edit Checklist wizard can be called from the Checklist page within the Business Data Group.

Step 1: General Data#

All non-system properties can be changed in this wizard.

The Name of the Checklist cannot be altered.
