# Cancel Experiment

## Overview

This operation is used to cancel an **Experiment** object.  

## Setup

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* The **Experiment** exists in the system and is in the Active or Created state.

## Sequence of Steps

The Cancel Experiment wizard can be called from the **Experiment** page within the Business Data Group.

### Step 1: General Data

1. Press **Cancel** to perform the operation. At this point, the **Experiment** will be terminated and its System State will be Canceled. All generic/smart table rows that reference the current object will be removed.
