Manage Step Contexts#

Overview#

This operation is used to manage all the contexts associated to the Steps of a Flow.

Setup#

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

Preconditions#

  • The Step exists and it is Active.

Sequence of Steps#

Step 1: Manage Services#

  1. From the Views Context Structure or Context Matrix, select the Step you want to edit and select Manage Step Contexts from the dropdown button on the ribbon.
  2. Using the button, add all the wanted contexts in each of the separate tabs.
  3. You can also or contexts as needed.

  4. A context resolution filter is available on the top right of the dialog, allowing for a Context filter to be applied to the contexts of the same Step. Available entries for the filter are:

    • Product
    • Product Group
    • Material
    • Material Type
    • Resource
    • Resource Type

    Warning

    If an entity is selected, the returned values to apply to the current Step context are those where the entity matches an existing Step context or where the entity is not present. It will not return any results if the entity does not match existing contexts.

  5. Select Update to complete the transaction.

Note

The following contexts are conditional:

  • Sampling Pattern - depends on the Step property In Step Sampling.
  • Inspection Plan - depends on the Step property Enable Inspections.
  • Time Constraints - depends on the Step property Enable Time Constraints.
  • Certification Requirements - depends on the Step property Enable Step Certification Requirements.
