# Separate Maintenance Activity Orders

:lock: MaintenanceActivityOrder.**Separate**

## Overview

This operation is used to separate one or more **Maintenance Activity Orders** (**MAOs**) which have been previously joined.

## Preconditions

* The Parent **MAO**:
    * Is Active and in execution state: Requested, Approved, or Released.
    * Belongs to same **Maintenance Plan Instance** as the Children **MAO** to be separated.
* All Children **MAOs** to be separated:
    * Are Active and in execution state: Requested, Approved, or Released.
    * Belong to the same **Maintenance Plan Instance**.
    * Have the same Parent **MAO**.
* The user must belong to the **Maintenance Plan Instance** Owner Role.

## Sequence of Steps

### Step 1

1. Select all the **MAOs** to be separated from the Parent **MAO**.
2. Optionally, enter a Comment
3. Select **Separate** to complete the operation.
