Associate Maintenance Plan With Resource#

Overview#
The Associate Maintenance Plan with Resource operation associates one or more Resources with a particular Maintenance Plan.
Setup#
No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.
Preconditions#

Resource is Active and has no other identical Maintenance Plan currently associated with it.

Maintenance Plan has an Effective version.
Sequence of Steps#
The Associate Maintenance Plan with Resource wizard can be called from the Maintenance Plan page within the Business Data Group.
A Resource can also be associated with a Maintenance Plan directly from the Resource page Maintenance View.
Step 1: Resources#
- Press the Associate button and from the dropdown options select Resource to open the appropriate wizard.
- Select the Resource to which the Maintenance Plan will be associated.
- Select the appropriate Base Date to set the date when the Maintenance Plan will start.
- Select the appropriate Schedule Mode (Earliest or Latest).
- If wished, apply the current definition to all the selected Resources by pressing the Apply Same Date To All Resources button
- Select Next.

Step 2: Activities#
- If wished, specify customized the Base Date and Schedule Mode for any of the Maintenance Activities that belong to the Maintenance Plan.
Step 3: General Data#
- Select the owner role - the owner role represents the group of people who is able to manage the Maintenance Activity Orders under the Maintenance Plan Instance.
- Optionally specify a distribution list - to be used by the SendMaintenanceManagementNotificationMail rule.
- Press Associate to perform the operation.

It is possible to define the default value for the Schedule Mode by editing the entry Context = MaintenancePlan.Associate, Element = ScheduleMode in the Generic Table GUIElementDefaultValue. The default value is Earliest.
