# Take Pick List Ownership

:lock: PickList.**TakeOwnership**

## Overview

This operation is used to take ownership (responsibility) for picking the **Pick List**.

## Setup

No special setup is required other than to meet the preconditions.

## Preconditions

* The **Pick List** must be Active.
* The **Pick List** system state must be *Open* or *In Progress*.
* If there is an owner defined for the **Pick List**, the current **Employee** must match that owner.

## Sequence of Steps

### Step 1

1. Review the **Pick List** item information.
2. Press the **Take Ownership** button to complete the operation.
