# Release Plan Scenario

## Overview

This operation is used to release a **Plan Scenario**, updating the target values within the **Plan** defined as Effective Plan.

## Setup

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* A **Plan** exists in the system and is Active.

## Sequence of Steps

You can release a **Plan Scenario** from the **Release** button located on the top ribbon of the **Plan Scenario** page.

### Step 1: General Data

1. Confirm the information presented by the Wizard.
2. Choose whether to override the targets defined in the time frame items of the Frozen period of the current Effective Plan.
3. Choose whether to override the targets defined in the time frame items of the In Progress period of the current Effective Plan.
4. Optionally enter a comment for the operation.
5. Press **Release** to complete the Wizard.
