# Manage Maintenance

## Overview

This operation is used to manage configurations of the maintenance of the **Product**.

## Setup

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* The **Maintenance** module is properly licensed in the system.
* The **Product** exists in the system and it is **Active**.

## Sequence of Steps

### Step 1: Manage Maintenance

If the **Maintenance** module is properly licensed in the system, the **Maintenance** section will be enabled and you will be able to define the **Product** maintenance information.

1. In case the **Product** is used in Maintenance Management, specify whether it needs to be consumed from an existing **Material** or not.
2. Select **Update** to complete the transaction.
