Overview#

This operation is used to set and manage Product parameters.

Setup#

No specific setup is required other than to meet the precondition of the transaction.

Preconditions#

• The Product (Version) exists in the system and it is not Terminated.

Sequence of Steps#

Step 1: Manage Parameters (Versioned Data)#

1. Add as many parameters as desired, providing for each line:
   • The Parameter name.
   • The Parameter type: Specification or Characteristic. A Specification can be used for SPC integration and it can have defined a lower specification value, a target value and an upper specification value. A Characteristic is a constant value that is associated with the Product.
   • The value, only for parameters of type Characteristic.
   • Optionally, the Step, for parameters of type Specification only.
   • Optionally, the lower specification value, for parameters of type Specification only.
   • Optionally, the target specification value, for parameters of type Specification only.
   • Optionally, the upper specification value, for parameters of type Specification only.
   • Optionally, the Reporting Type (the values are taken from the lookup table ProductParameterReportingType).
   • Optionally, a Reporting Information (free text).
2. Select Update to complete the operation.
