--- alias: user-guide-manage-repair-policy description: "Configure product repair policies, specifying which defects are repairable or not" --- # Manage Repair Policy :lock: Product.**Edit** ## Overview This operation is used to manage the Repair Policy of the **Product** by defining which type of defects can be repaired or not. ## Setup No specific setup is required other than to meet the precondition of the transaction. ## Preconditions * The Product exists and it is Active. ## Sequence of Steps The Manage Repair Policy wizard can be called from the **Product** page by selecting **Repair Policy** from the section menus on the right, and then selecting the **Manage** button. ### Step 1: Repair Policy 1. Define the Defects Repair Policy, which can be: * Allow All (default) - repair is possible for all Defect Reasons. * Allow Specific - repair is possible only for the associated Product Defects. * Forbid All - no repair is possible for all Defect Reasons. * Forbid Specific - repair is not possible for the associated Product Defects. 2. If you select Allow Specific or Forbid Specific, you must provide at least one Reason of type Defect. Use :material-plus: to add as many defect reasons of type Defect as you need and :material-trash-can: to delete reasons as needed. 2.
