Manage Production Order Step Dependencies#

Overview#

This operation to manage the Production Order Step Dependencies defined for a Production Order Step that is a part of a given Production Order, to force the sequential execution of Production Order Steps during scheduling-based processing.

Setup#

No special setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

Preconditions#

The Production Order must exist, must be Active and in state Created, Released, InProgress, Completed.

Sequence of Steps#

Step 1: Production Order Step#

Select an appropriate Production Order, navigate to the Production Order Steps section and select Manage Production Order Step Dependencies.
The dependencies are divided into two separate tabs:
- From - The dependent Production Order Steps are shown on the left side of the grid. Selecting a Production Order Step will show you which Production Order Steps depend on the currently selected Production Order Step to be completed before starting.
- To - The reverse view, where you can see the dependencies on the left side of the grid. Selecting the dependency will show you which of the Production Order Step needs to be completed for the process to continue.

A different approach is warranted for each of the selected tabs:

From (select dependency Steps)#

Add as many dependencies as you need (select in the top right of the grid to add and to remove). You need to specify at least one item and for each item provide the following information:
- To Production Order
- To Flow and Step
- To Production Order Step

To (select dependent Steps)#

Add as many dependencies as you need (select in the top right of the grid to add and to remove). You need to specify at least one item and for each item provide the following information:
- From Production Order
- From Flow and Step
- From Production Order Step

Select Update to complete the transaction and update the Production Order.
