--- alias: user-guide-qualification-check-index --- # Qualification Check :lock: QualificationCheck.**Show** ## Overview **Qualification Check** is a feature designed to validate that equipment or related items comply with production requirements. This involves processing a specific Qualification **Material** through a defined **Flow** that includes the equipment or item to be qualified. The goal is to ensure the Qualification Item meets all required operational criteria before it is authorized to process Productive **Material**. This mechanism is particularly critical in high-precision industries, such as semiconductor front-end manufacturing, where equipment readiness directly impacts process stability and product quality. In this context, the Qualification Item refers to the object being qualified - either a **Resource**, **Sub-Resource**, **Service**, or **Recipe**. To determine whether an item is fit for production use, the system applies a **Qualification Check**, following the rules below: * A single **Qualification Check** can qualify multiple Qualification Items. * However, each item is always qualified by one **Qualification Check**. To maintain qualification compliance, an item may need to be requalified under the following conditions: * On a periodic time basis; * After specific maintenance activities; * Upon manual request by a user or automatically by the system. This feature ensures that production processes rely only on qualified equipment and configurations, supporting operational consistency, quality control, and regulatory compliance. ## Tying Everything Together {% include-markdown 'includes/diagrams/equipment_qualification_mermaid.md' %} {{ generate_index() }}
