# Cancel Resource Job

## Overview

This operation is used to Cancel a given **Resource Job**.

## Setup

No specific setup is required other than to meet the precondition of the transaction.  

## Preconditions

* The **Resource Job** exists in the system and is Active.
* The **Resource Job** System State is Created or Queued.
* The **Owner Entity Type** and **Owner Entity Id** provided must match if previously defined in the **Resource Job**.

## Sequence of Steps

1. Choose a **Resource Job** with a Created or Queued System State, then select the **Cancel** button on the top ribbon.
2. Optionally, enter a comment for the operation.
3. Select **Cancel**.

    Once a **Resource Job** is canceled, its System State will change to Canceled and its Universal State will change to Terminated.
