Begin Line Setup#

🔒 Resource.BeginLineSetup

Overview#

This operation is used to mark the Sub-Resource(s) of a Line Resource as being in setup, indicating that the user is beginning setup for a Material on a given Resource.

Setup#

No special setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

Preconditions#

  • The main Resource is of processing type Line.
  • The Resource property In Setup must be false.
  • The Resource Setup Mode must be Always or Changeover.
  • The Setup Characteristic property of the Step must be set.
  • A Material must be selected.
  • The Sub-Resource property Setup Begin and Complete Mode must be Manual Begin and Complete.
  • If there are Material Line Step Resources that match the setup Material, Resource, and Step, their Setup State must be Not Started.

Sequence of Steps#

Step 1: General Data#

  1. Select a Resource matching the preconditions.
  2. Go to the Resource View and select a Material.

  3. Select the Begin Line Setup button on the top ribbon to open the wizard:

  4. The Begin Line Setup (Sub-Resources) wizard will display the Sub-Resources that are available to begin the line setup for the given Material:

  5. Select one or more Resources to start the setup.

  6. The system will suggest a default transition, and if applicable, also a Reason, which you will be able to override.
  7. Optionally, enter a comment.
  8. Select Begin to complete the operation.
