# Manage Consumables

## Overview

This operation allows you to attach and detach Consumables to and from any Consumable Feed of the **Resource**.

## Setup

No special setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* The **Resource** is active and has **Sub-Resources** of type Consumable Feed.
* Positions to which the **Material** will be attached.
* For attaching a Consumable, the same restrictions of the Attach Consumable apply.

## Sequence Of Steps

1. Select a **Resource** and then from the **Manage** button on the top ribbon, select **Consumables**.
2. Expand the desired Consumable Feeds for which the attach or detach consumables is intended.
3. For each Consumable Feed, add or remove the desired consumable **Materials**.
4. Optionally, enter a comment.
5. Select **Update** to complete the operation.
