--- alias: user-guide-manage-feed-steps description: "Configure and modify scheduling steps within a schedule to control material calculations" --- # Manage Feed Steps :lock: Schedule.**Edit** ## Overview This operation is used to define and manage the **Steps** that can be included in a given **Schedule**, instructing the scheduling engine to include the **Materials** that are in those **Steps** in the calculations. ## Setup No specific setup is required other than to meet the precondition of the transaction. ## Preconditions * The Scheduling module is properly licensed in the system. * The Steps must not belong to any **Area** of the **Schedule**. * The Steps must belong to an **Area** of the selected Feed **Step** **Facility**. * There must not be more than one combination of **Schedule**, Feed **Step** and **Facility**. ## Sequence of Steps ### Step 1: Manage Feed Steps 1. Select an appropriate **Schedule**, navigate to the **Feed Steps** section and select **Manage Production Order Steps**. 2. Add as many Feed **Steps** as you need (select :material-plus: in the top right of the grid to add and :material-trash-can: to remove), providing the following information for each item: * **Facility** * **Step** ![Screenshot showing a UI with options to manage feed steps and details.](images/manage_feed_steps.png) 3. Select **Manage** to complete the transaction and update the **Schedule**.
