# Create Split Send-Ahead Run

## Overview

This operation is used to split any Waiting **Materials** associated to a **Send-Ahead Run** and add the **Sub-Materials** as send-ahead **Materials**.

## Setup

No specific setup is required other than to meet the precondition of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* **Materials** must be Waiting **Materials** in a **Send-Ahead Run**.

## Sequence of Steps

The Record Send-Ahead Run Result wizard can be called from the **Send-Ahead Run** page within the Business Data Group.

### Step 1: Waiting Materials

	For this operation to be called directly from the **Send-Ahead Run** page, the Capture Results Mode must be set to Manual.

1. Selecting a **Send-Ahead Run** that matches the preconditions, navigate to the **Materials** section and within that section open the Send-Ahead Materials tab.
2. Select a waiting **Material** by ticking the appropriate row.
3. Select the **Create Split** button on top of the grid to open the wizard.
4. Define the Split Type for the send-ahead scenario:
   * None
   * Logical
   * Physical
5. If the Split is defined as Logical or Physical, define the Split Scope. There are two options:
   * Temporary
   * Permanent
6. If the Split is defined as Logical or Physical, optionally define the default **Container** for the **Sub-Materials**.
7. Select **Next** to continue to the next section

### Step 2: Sub-Materials to Send-Ahead

1. Select which of the **Sub-Materials** to be included in the **Send-Ahead Run**. At least one **Sub-Material** must be selected. After you select the **Sub-Materials**, select **Next** to continue to the next section.
2. Select **Create** to complete the operation.
