# Edit Service

## Overview

This operation is used to Edit a **Service**.  

## Setup

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* The **Service** exists in the system.

## Sequence of Steps

The Edit Service wizard can be called from the **Service** page within the Business Data Group.

### Step 1: General Data

All non-system properties can be changed in this wizard.

Note: The *Name* of the **Service** cannot be altered. Also, processing type can't be changed if there are any **Resources** that provide the current **Service**.

### Step 2: Manage Service Resources

Add or remove **Resource**(s) that are currently providing the **Service**.
