# Edit Shift Logbook Entry

## Overview

This operation is used to edit an entry of the **Shift Logbook**.

## Setup

No special setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* The current user is the author of the entry.

## Sequence of Steps

### Step 1

1. Select an existing entry and press the **Edit Entry** button.
2. Optionally, edit the title of the entry.
3. Optionally, change the *Category* (values are taken from the lookup table *ShiftLogbookEntryCategory*), the *Severity* (values taken from the generic table *ShiftLogbookEntrySeverity*) and the *Resource* relating to the **Area** and to this specific Entry.
4. Edit the description of the Entry - it is possible to use Rich-Text Format (RTF) by selecting the text and right-clicking on it.
5. Press **Update** to complete the transaction.
