Manage Sampling Plans#

🔒 Step.Edit

Overview#

This operation is used to define and manage the Step Sampling details.

Setup#

No specific setup is required other than to meet the precondition of the transaction.

Preconditions#

  • The Sampling module is properly licensed in the system.
  • The Step is created and it is Active.

Sequence of Steps#

Step 1: Sampling#

If the Sampling module is properly licensed in the system, the Sampling tab will be enabled on the right-hand sidebar and you will be able to define the Step's sampling information.

  1. The user defines whether the Step is a Sampling Plan Evaluation Step or not (defaults to false). If the IsSamplingEvaluation is false, it must not be associated to any Sampling Plans.
  2. If set to true, the user will then optionally define the Step Maturity, taken from the Lookup Table StepMaturity.
  3. Define whether to use In-Step Sampling (which involves the selection of which sub-materials to be sampled and in which sequence).
  4. If you marked the Step as a Sampling Plan Evaluation Step, select Next to choose the Sampling Plans to associate with the Step. Add as many Sampling Plans as desired (press in the top right of the grid to add and to remove).
  5. Select Update to complete the transaction.

Info

The sampling selection consists of a selection of the Materials to be sampled (implicitly skipping all others) as well as the sequence in which the Materials will be sampled (Materials with the same sampling sequence number can be processed in any order). A new Sampling Pattern object will be attached to a Step which is marked for In-Step Sampling. For more information, see Sampling Pattern.
