Change Bin Values#

🔒 SubstrateMap.Update

🔒 SubstrateMap.UpdateNewBins

🔒 SubstrateMap.UpdateAllBins

Overview#

This operation is used to update the Bin Code values of a Substrate Map. Therefore, it is only valid for Substrate Maps of type Bin Code Map.

Setup#

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

Preconditions#

  • The Substrate Map exists and is Active.
  • The Overlay within the Substrate Map is of type Bin Code Map.

Sequence of Steps#

The Change Bin Values wizard can be called from the Substrate Map page within the Business Data Group.

Info

The Substrate Map is in the Content view and units must be selected to have the Change Bin Values button available on the top ribbon.

Change Bin Values#

  1. Select the button to enable the Select Mode and choose the individual dies or regions.

    Note

There must be a clear selection, which can be cleared, and when the Select Mode is enabled, the original values are shown and any Bin Converter colors are kept.

  2. On the right panel, you are presented with information of the bins for the Bin Code Map.

  3. Select the Change Bin Values button on the top ribbon to access the wizard.
  4. Configure the optional settings:

    • Synchronize Quantity - enables synchronization of the Substrate Map with the Material quantity. For more information, see Set Material Substrate Map. If enabled, Step 2: Synchronization will be available.

      Note

You can define the default value for the Synchronize Quantity by editing the entry Context = SubstrateMap.Update for the Element = Synchronize in the GUIElementDefaultValue Generic Table.

    • Copy Overlay Information - if enabled, the Substrate Map Overlay Information from the original Substrate Map are copied into the newly created Overlay. For more information, see Manage Substrate Map Overlay Information.

      Note

You can define the default value for the Copy Overlay Information by editing the entry Context = SubstrateMap.Update for the Element = CopyOverlayInformation in the GUIElementDefaultValue Generic Table.

    • Create New Version for Current Map Name - creates a new version for the currently selected Map Name.

    • Create New Map Name - creates a new Map Name with version 1. When selecting this option, you must provide the following information:

      • Facility - optionally, associate a Facility.
      • Step - optionally, associate a Step.
      • Resource - optionally, associate a Resource.

      Info

Regardless of whether the Copy Overlay Information option is enabled, if the Step and the Resource were defined in previous versions and are left empty when creating a new Map Name, the system automatically inherits the most recently defined values.

    • Set Overlay as Active - if you choose to create a new version or a new map, you can designate the newly created Overlay as the active version. When an Overlay is marked as Active, the system visually identifies it by displaying a next to the corresponding version.

  5. Add new non-existing/non-duplicate bins, and provide the following information for each bin:

    • Bin Value - must be compatible with the Bin Type of the Bin Code Map.
    • Bin Description (optional).
    • Quality (optional) - Pass, Fail, Null, Unknown, Picked or Custom (if Custom is set, you must define a To Bin Quality Custom Value from the SubstrateMapBinQuality Lookup Table).
    • Pick Bin - true or false.

    Note

It is not possible to change the original Bin Converter values.

  6. If there is at least one unit selected, you can choose to change the value of all the selected units to a defined value, which must be compatible with the Bin Type. When a Bin Converter (either Overlay or Default) is associated with the Substrate Map, the list of available Bin Codes for selection depends on the user security features and the converter configuration:

    • If you have the SubstrateMap.UpdateNewBins security feature enabled, you can add new Bin Values.

    • If you have the SubstrateMap.UpdateAllBins security feature enabled, you can select:

      • All To Bin Code Values if a converter is applied.
      • All From Bin Code Values if no converter is applied.
    • If you have SubstrateMap.UpdateAllBins security feature disabled, you can select:

      • The To Bin Code Values where the To Bin Disable For Update property is false if a converter is applied.
      • The From Bin Code Values where the To Bin Disable For Update property is false if no converter is applied.

    Note

If a Bin Code exists in the current Overlay, the properties defined in the Overlay take precedence over those in the Bin Conversion.

  7. Optionally, enter a comment.

  8. Select Change to complete the operation.

Synchronization#

  1. On changing bin values, you can also choose to synchronize the Substrate Map with an Active Material:

    Note

For this operation to be available the same conditions as in the Set Material Substrate Map and Synchronize Material with Substrate Map must be met.

  2. Optionally, enter a comment.

  3. Select Change to complete the operation:

    Warning

Only a net positive change in bin values, that is, either all change to Pass or all change to Fail, will allow you to synchronize the linked Material with the Substrate Map after updating the Substrate Map. For more information, see Synchronize Material with Substrate Map.
