Material History#

Description#

This report provides access to the Material History report of any Material which is available in the Operational Data Store (ODS) database.

Assumptions#

  • None

Filters#

  • Area - multi-value filter of Areas (restricted by the Facility filter)
  • Assemble - include or exclude assemble information
  • Attributes - include or exclude Attribute information
  • Checklists - include or exclude Checklist information
  • Collected Data - include or exclude Data Collection information
  • Container Tracking - include or exclude Container information
  • Date End - filters the operation end time
  • Date Start - filters the operation start time
  • Defects - filters the defects
  • Durables - include or exclude Durable information
  • Facility - multi-value filter on facilities
  • Hold/Ship/Losses - include or exclude info concerning holds, releases, losses and bonus
  • Labels - include or exclude Label information
  • Material - the name of the Material for which the history report is to be displayed
  • Production Orders - include or exclude Production order information
  • Protocols - include or exclude Protocol information
  • Recipes - include or exclude Recipe information
  • Services - include or exclude
  • Step - multi-value filter on Steps (restricted by the Facility filter)
  • Timezone - select the timezone for the values to retrieve

Info

Boolean filters are actually enabling/disabling the execution and show of specific sub reports, so enabling only the info desired simplifies and enhances the overall execution time.

Warning

The available date filters (Start and End) should be used exclusively to select the entry and exit dates in the Steps where the Material has passed. Therefore, once the sequence of Steps included in the timeframe is determined, all associated information will be displayed, along with information on attachments that are not bound to a particular Step, provided that the Material was in a Step during that timeframe (that is, between Date Start and Date End).

Additional Information#

For Materials that have a Data Collection associated with an Inspection Plan the expected behavior is that when the Material is tracked, the data collection instance is created, and the data collection points are created with empty values (values = null.) For this reason, if a track-in is performed but no data collection values are posted, the data collection information will be shown as empty in the report.

Services and Collected Data#

The Collected Data section displays current and historical values collected at Data Collection Points (DCPs). Whether a collected value is recorded depends on the History Enabled flag in the Data Collection Point configuration. To ensure a complete history of collected values visible in the report, History Enabled must be true.

  • If History Enabled is true:
    • All collected values are stored in the database, preserving their full history.
  • If History Enabled is false:
    • Values collected while the flag is disabled are saved only as the current value, without creating a history, so if these values change later, the previous value is lost and won’t be displayed in the report.

Warning

By default, the History Enabled flag is set to false to prevent overloading the database with historical data and to avoid replication issues due to the possible amount of data.
