Material Cube#
This cube collects information regarding Material events, Material step movements, Material quality and Material attributes.
Dimensions#
This section describes the dimensions of the Material cube.
Affected Material - Contains the affected Materials.
Area - Contains all areas available in the system during the cube processing. Since Areas can be hierarchical, both parent and child Areas can be selected as separate dimension keys.
Bonus Reason - Contains all reasons available in the system during the cube processing. This column is directly linked to the Bonus columns on fact tables.
Date - Contains all calendar days available in the system during the cube processing.
Dispatched Date - Contains all dispatch dates available in the system during the cube processing.
Dispatched Employee - Contains all Employees available in the system during the cube processing. This column is directly linked to Dispatched columns on fact tables.
Dispatched Shift - Contains all Shift available in the system during the cube processing. This column is directly linked to Dispatched columns on fact tables.
Dispatched Team - Contains all Teams available in the system during the cube processing. This column is directly linked to Dispatched columns on fact tables.
Dispatched Time - Day time representation. All seconds of the day are available (max: 235959).
Employee - Contains all Employees available in the system during the cube processing.
Facility - Contains all Facilities available in the system during the cube processing.
Fiscal Date - This is a representation of a day that has shifts. Instead of grouping facts between 00:00:00 and 23:59:59 like in Date dimension, it uses the beginning of the first shift and the end of the last shift for grouping. Use this dimension combined with Shift dimension to isolate shifts.
Flow - Contains all Flows available in the system during the cube processing.
Flow Path - Contains all Flow Paths available in the system during the cube processing.
In Process Date - Contains all calendar days available in the system during the cube processing. This column is directly linked to In Process columns on fact tables.
In Process Employee - Contains all Employees available in the system during the cube processing. This column is directly linked to In Process columns on fact tables.
In Process Shift - Contains all Shift available in the system during the cube processing. This column is directly linked to In Process columns on fact tables.
In Process Team - Contains all Teams available in the system during the cube processing. This column is directly linked to In Process columns on fact tables.
In Process Time - Day time representation. All seconds of the day are available (max: 235959). This column is directly linked to In Process columns on fact tables.
Loss Reason - Contains all reasons available in the system during the cube processing. This column is directly linked to Loss columns on fact tables.
Material - Contains all Materials available in the system during the cube processing.
Material Attribute - Contains all Attributes that can be found for any material occurrence.
Material Attribute Index - Contains the position of the attribute value within the attribute index (useful to match attribute names and values).
Material Attribute Value - Contains all attribute values that can be found for any material occurrence.
Material Defect - Contains all Material Defects available in the system during the cube processing.
Material Defect System State - Contains all system states of the Material Defects available in the system during the cube processing.
Material Hierarchy - Contains all Material Hierarchies available in the system during the cube processing.
Material State - Possible values are: Queued, Dispatched, In Process, Processed, In Transit, and Consumable.
Off Flow Type - Contains all Off-Flow types available in the system during the cube processing.
Operation - Contains all operations available in the system during the cube processing.
Parent Material - Contains all parent materials available in the system during the cube processing.
Processed Date - Contains all calendar days available in the system during the cube processing. This column is directly linked to Processed columns on fact tables.

Production Order - Contains all Production orders available in the system during the cube processing.
Quality Reason - Contains all reasons for events of type loss, bonus and hold of material.
Queued Date - Contains all calendar days available in the system during the cube processing. This column is directly linked to Queued columns on fact tables.
Queued Employee - Contains all Employees available in the system during the cube processing. This column is directly linked to Queued columns on fact tables.
Queued Shift - Contains all Shifts available in the system during the cube processing. This column is directly linked to Queued columns on fact tables.

Reason - Contains all Reasons available in the system during the cube processing.
Related Material - Some operations, like "Split" for instance, can originate several new materials. The relation between the source material and the target materials are maintained in the relational database, and this dimension presents all source materials that were affected by such an operation.
Related Product - All Products affected by the operation.
Release from Hold Date - Date when the Release operation took place.
Release from Hold Fiscal Date - Fiscal Date when Release operation took place.
Release from Hold Time - Time when the hold was released.
Release Shift - Shift when the hold was released.
Resource - Contains all Resources available in the system during the cube processing.
Rework Reason - Contains all reasons for events of type Rework.
Service - Contains all Services available in the system during the cube processing.
Shift - Contains all shifts available in the system during the cube processing.
Step - Contains all steps available in the system during the cube processing.
Step Output Date - Date when the last operation over the material occurred on the step. Fact table will only have this information when either the material is terminated or the material leaves the step.
Step Output Employee - Employee that recorded the last operation over the material on the step. Fact table will only have this information when either the material is terminated or the material leaves the step.
Step Output Shift - Shift when the last operation over the material occurred on the step. Fact table will only have this information when either the material is terminated or the material leaves the step.
Step Output Team - Team working in the shift when the last operation over the material occurred on the step. Fact table will only have this information when either the material is terminated or the material leaves the step.
Step Output Time - Time when the last operation over the material occurred on the step. Fact table will only have this information when either the material is terminated or the material leaves the step.
Team - Contains all teams available in the system during the cube processing.
Time - Day time representation. All seconds of the day are available (max: 235959).
Timezone - Timezone representation.
Top Most Flow Path - Contains all Top Most Flow Paths available in the system during the cube processing.
Unit - Primary - The unit of measurement that represents the Primary Quantity.
Unit - Secondary - The unit of measurement that represents the Secondary Quantity.

This section describes the Material Measure Group.
This Measure group is useful to count the number of Operations, Volume or Cost for a specific material, or group of materials, during a time interval. You can also filter by a group of Steps.

The following diagram illustrates each individual quantity (Queued, Dispatched, InProcess, Processed), the moment where it is collected (Input or Output from each state) and possible Bonuses or Losses.

Ideal Cycle Time - The Ideal Cycle Time, for a given resource, product and step. Its calculation depends of the settings set in the smart table "Resource Ideal Cycle Time".
