# Unterminate Asset

## Overview

This operation is used to unterminate an **Asset**.  

## Setup

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* The IoT Data Platform module is properly licensed in the system.
* The **Asset** exists in the system and it is Terminated.

## Sequence of Steps

The Unterminate Asset wizard can be called from the **Asset Directory** page within the **Data Platform** menu.

### Step 1: General Data

1. Select **Unterminate** to perform the operation. All generic/smart table rows that reference this object will be recovered.
