Overview#

This operation is used to Edit a Non-System Data Set. To change a System Data Set, see Data Sets Security Permissions.

Setup#

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

Preconditions#

• The Data Set exists in the system.
• The Owner Type of the Data Set must be different than System.

Sequence of Steps#

The Edit Data Set wizard can be called from the Data Set page within the Business Data Group.

Step 1: General Data#

All non-system properties can be changed in this wizard.

The Name of the Data Set cannot be altered.

Step 2: Fields#

Both Query and Fields can be edited. For more information, see Create Data Set.
