# AI Security Features

Access to **AI** actions is controlled by security features. These features determine which actions you can perform from entity pages, documents, and attachments.

## General Security Features

The general **AI** actions use the following security features:

| Security Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| AI.AskAI | Allows you to access AI and ask questions about a specific entity. |
| AI.Compare | Allows you to compare two versions of the same entity. This action is available only for versioned entities. For more information, see [[compare-entity-versions]]. |
| AI.ViewSummary | Allows you to generate a contextual summary from an entity that supports the action. The available content depends on the entity and its context. |

## Entity-Specific Security Features

Some scenarios may use entity-specific security features that extend the general naming pattern:

`<EntityType>.AI.<Action>`

Examples include:

| Example | Intended Use |
|---|---|
| `Document.AI.AskAI` | Ask questions about a specific document or attachment. |
| `Document.AI.Compare` | Compare two versions of the same document. |
| `MaintenanceActivityOrder.AI.AskAI` | Ask questions in a Maintenance Activity Order context. |
| `ChangeSet.AI.Compare` | Compare the contents of a **Change Set**. |
